Telford Town Park - What's happening in 2012

Major work is currently underway throughout Telford Town Park as part of the Southwater Development.

This programme aims to transform the Southwater area of the Town between Telford Shopping Centre,
The International Centre and Telford Town Park. The vision for Southwater is to create a vibrant and sustainable
heart for Telford Town Centre. Plans for a new environmentally friendly and innovative Town Park Visitor Centre, improved landscaping integrates the Town Centre and the Park along with new play areas, bike hire facilities,
educational facilities and new water play. Car parking is now also available on the new FREE Town Park &
Wonderland Coach Car Park. SAT NAV TF4 3NZ.

In addition to this major development is the Parks for People Project.
This exciting 5 year project includes plans for a new Teenage
Activity Area, new learning zones and picnic areas throughout
the wider Park, and the restoration of key historic features,
Nature Trail and new park entrances and improved landscaping.
